SOUND PLANET - Kiev, Ukraine - 2005
Sound Planet located at 18/24 Dmitrievska Street in Kiev, Ukraine is the first nightclub of its kind in Eastern Europe. It is the conception of Dr. Alex Kiiza, owner of the AGS construction company. For quite some time, it had been a dream of his to create a nightclub that didn’t follow in the same vein as other Kiev nightspots, which are generally linked with other forms of entertainment. He wanted to create a space that would be the ultimate destination for dancing, not just for the people of Ukraine, but for everyone from all over the world.

Sound Planet is a spacious 3 level venue, which can accommodate over a thousand people comfortably. It will present world renown DJ’s to introduce a different alternative in nightclubbing to this area, with the infusion of R&B and Hip Hop on Friday nights and Underground Dance music catering to Deep Soulful House with Trance and Techno on Saturday nights. Sound Planet will offer multiple choices of music each night, easily satisfying the cravings of all dance music lovers. Following in the footsteps of such legendary nightclubs as the Ministry of Sound (London) and Studio 54 (NYC), Sound Planet presents a sound and light system that will make you seem as if you have arrived in a new world, enabling its patrons to experience an atmosphere, which will allow them to completely relax and forget all their inhibitions, in addition to bringing the best in new music. Sound Planet will also offer memberships to its patrons.

The Sound Planet sound system was created by Gary Stewart Audio (GSA) and equals or surpasses their other incredible systems around the world such as Sound Factory NYC and the Ministry of Sound. The club also boasts a multi-colored laser light system similar to the systems installed in the famous luxury liner the Queen Mary 2 and Disney’s theme parks.

In control of this incredible sound system is the world renowned Bert Bevans the resident DJ of Sound Planet. Bert Bevans is the British Honduras born DJ who started out playing “Block Parties” in Hollis, New York followed by legendary NYC clubs like: Studio 54, Paradise Garage, Xenon, Electric Circus, Bonds, and the Playboy Club. Through a 2-year stop over in the Virgin Islands he made his way to London and ended up as one of the first resident DJ’s of the Ministry of Sound. Though his work field is the various nightclubs around the world, Bert has chosen to settle down in the Ukraine and give the people of Kiev a chance to experience his incredible DJ talents.
